If your anything like Keyshmarie and I. You love mimosa's & Christmas. Then you definitely need a holiday wine glass. I’m completely in love with this glass and it’s so easy.
You need...
- A wine glass ($1 most places)
- Acrylic paint- white, orange, black, blue, green, and red are the main colors but if you want more colors for the ear muffs that’s fine. I mixed some of mine to make certain colors
- clear glossy coat spray paint
- 2 circle spongy paint brush, 1 big one & 1 small
- fine tip paint brush
First you want to hold your wine glass by the stem or put your hand inside the glass to hold it upside down. Whichever is more comfortable. With your big sponge, sponge on your snow men faces with white paint. Scatter your faces, don’t use a uniformed pattern. Then let that dry.
Secondly, break out the black paint. Use your fine tip paint brush to make the eyes kinda close together. Then create a wiggly ear muff bands and your snowman’s mouth.
We have put little tiny eye lashes on our girl snowmen. The eyelashes are a little tricky. Be careful to always angle your fine tip paint brush when using it painting or dipping it in the paint. This keeps the paint brush bristles from separating. Keeping your strokes thin and perfect. You can put eyebrows on some of your boy snowmen as well.
Then you use the same thin brush to paint on your orange noses. Your noses should be easy they are just thin angled lines. Start your nose in the center under the eyes. If you think it looks silly take a step back and look again. After that clean your brush with water and add tiny red lips to your girly snowmen. I think this gives them a cute cartoon look. Next, take your small circle sponge brush and put the ear muffs on your snowmen. I mixed red and white to make pink and I made little cheeks. I also mixed white and orange to make light orange. I like a lot of different colors but you can just stick the colors you have. Then I made these same color polka dots on the foot of my wine glass. Keyshmarie did blue & white snow balls, so be creative and make it yours!
Finally you are going to take your clear gloss spray paint and spray your glass outside. You need 2 layers of this to make your glass is washable. I would not put this glass in the dish washer. Wa-la All done now enjoy your wine and mimosa’s in your snow man glasses this holiday season ! We love ours!
