Seriously where have the days gone this year? I feel like just yesterday we started 2017 and now its almost 2018! So, since Christmas is right around the corner why not make this super cute Christmas tree pallet? It will only take about 30 minutes max including preperations and you'll have a adorable outdoor Christmas decoration.
Note: I get pallets from the company I work for but you can find them online where people try to get rid of them, grocery stores, or you can purchase them from stores that sell them.
Things you will need:
- Pallet (I used a 4ft one)
- Skill saw (or just any saw to cut the wood)
- Marker
-Spray paint or regular paint
- Ruler (or straight edge to outline your tree)
-Ribbon(optional)
- Hot glue
- Christmas lights
I began by placing my pallet on the floor and with a yard stick I went from the bottom corner of the pallet to the top where I wanted the two lines to meet. This is probably the most challenging part due to trying to make the straight lines and even sides, but once your done with this step you’ve got it! The rest is easy peasy!
After you get it outlined grab your skill saw and cut along the lines. I forgot to take a picture of how I did the back but for the planks(1x4) on the back I just cut them as close to the middle 2x4 as possible
When your done cutting the outline and back of your tree it should look similar to the picture above.
Now to the fun part! Paint the tree with whatever color you wish. I have seen some all green or red and green and they all look super cute. Also I used spray paint for the red planks and white paint for the other planks just because that's what I had laying around my house but you can do either.
Enjoy!

To top off the tree I decided to make a big bow for the top and put Christmas lights on it as well. Both the ribbon and the lights were purchased from the family dollar store.
For the ribbon I wrapped it from the back and made a bow and then I hot glued the bow part in the front to the pallet so that it wouldn't move around.
For the lights I just wrapped it around the pallet starting from the top to the bottom.
This turned out to be a fun, easy, and super cheap project! I hope you enjoy this DIY. If you decide to make this please comment with your trees. I would to see how it turned out!
